Midlands and Lancashire NHS Commissioning Support Unit uses the information we collect to operate, maintain and provide you with the features and functionality of the ‘Escalation Management System Plus’ (EMS+) Application (App).

What data do we collect?
When you register as a user of the EMS+ system, the data controller supplies the information necessary for your use of the system. This includes personal data such as your:
• Name • Email Address • Job Title
Additional information may be received about you that individually may not identify you, such as where you work and job title. We automatically collect details of your internet connection.
Why do we collect this information?
We will use your information to enable you and your employer to use the licenced features and functionality of the EMS+ system. The information collected will allow us to operate, maintain and support the system.
We will ask for your consent to use your information before you can access any of the features and functionality of the EMS+ system.
What do we do with your information?
Your information is securely stored in our database and we will not share your data with any third parties. Your data is not sent outside of the EU. Nor we will we use the information to make any automated decisions that might affect you.
How long do we keep your information for?
Your information is kept until your employer as the data controller notifies us to remove your information or in line with the details provided below under ‘Your rights over your information’ the Information will be deleted

By law under Data Protection Act 2018; you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. You can also ask for it to be erased and you can ask for us to give you a copy of the information.
You can also ask us to stop using your information - the simplest way to do this is to withdraw your consent, which you can do at any time, either by writing or emailing the Data protection Officer using the contact details above.

Terms and Conditions
All access to the EMS+ system is reserved exclusively for NHS/Local Authority employees only and any information relating to the visual, data outputs, or operational elements of EMS+ should not be distributed to any person(s) outside of the primary customer group detailed above.
Private providers (such as care home providers) will be allowed limited access to update EMS+; that being ‘write’ access to their own provider information only.
